I posted earlier that we took Maddison shopping on Friday for her school supplies. We could tell that she enjoyed the experience, but I guess I didn't know how much she enjoyed it until yesterday. I was in my bedroom with Maddie packing up her clothes after the overnight stay when she came over to me and hugged me. "Mimi", she said, "thank you so much for the backpack and stuff. You are the best grandma ever".I am pretty sure my heart stopped for just a minute or two. Maddison is such a sweet little girl, but I haven't ever heard her say anything like that before. Is it any wonder that this child has stolen my heart?
